Offerings

This ancient, traditional bodywork originates in Belize, and has been carried on by Dr. Rosita Arvigo.  It involves bringing flow and healing to the abdominal "container", both front and back.  Gentle, external abdominal massage improves blood, lymph and energy flow, supports optimal organ position and can aid in improved reproductive health for both women and men. This therapy is especially supportive in digestive dysfunction, fertility, during pregnancy, postpartum, painful/irregular periods, endometriosis, post-surgical adhesions, perimenopause/hysterectomy and general prostate health.  Low back and hip massage, sacral ligament work and fascial pelvic adjustments on the the back of the body aid in nerve flow and alignment.  Self care abdominal massage is taught and encouraged for maximum benefits.  Typically, 3-4 professional sessions, one per month, is recommended at the beginning of treatment.

Complimentary cupping therapy, cbd and essential oils

This offering is available beginning at 20 weeks gestation.  It is beneficial in reducing pain/discomfort associated with a changing body, and balancing the nervous systems of both mother and baby. Maya Abdominal Therapy for pregnancy supports optimal blood flow to the uterus and ideal fetal positioning to aid in smooth labor and delivery. Complimentary cupping therapy, cbd and essential oils are used as needed.  Postpartum massage therapy would be booked as Maya Abdominal Therapy for returning clients.

90 minutes - $170

This offering is a massage therapy session that integrates all of the knowledge and experience that has matured over the last 20 years in bodywork practice.  Some specialties to be expected are Advanced Myofascial Techniques, Neuromuscular Therapy, Trigger Point Therapy, Muscle Energy Techniques, and parasympathetic nervous system activation.  Slow, deliberate, focused attention to areas of restriction will aid in pain relief and balance.  Complimentary cupping therapy, cbd and essential oils are used as needed.
